Betty Comden, Broadway Lyricist, Dies of Heart Failure at 89
Probe Village death The death of Donna West, 60, whose body was found by her husband on his return to their Christopher St. apartment on Thurs. Nov. 16, is under investigation by the Medical Examiners Office, police said.
Ms. Comden, who with her longtime collaborator Adolph Green, wrote the lyrics and often the librettos for some of the most celebrated musicals of stage and screen.

Betty Comden, whose more than 60-year collaboration with Adolph Green produced the classic New York stage musical "On the Town," as well as "Singin' in the Rain," has died. Betty Comden had been ill for a few months and died Thursday of heart failure at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia, said her longtime attorney and executor Ronald Konecky. "She was, in all respects, a very beautiful and
